Our Mandate
Our mandate is to drive meaningful transformation and sustainable impact within the South African automotive ecosystem. We achieve this by investing in black-owned suppliers across the automotive value chain and supporting projects that empower emerging micro-enterprises within local communities surrounding Uitenhage.
Our Unique Value Proposition
Our unique value proposition Is our specialist automotive industry deal origination capability, funding delivery model and automotive industry specific post-investment support. It is the Trust’s status, as an independent entity, that allows it to form unique partnerships with various stakeholders in the automotive ecosystem.
What we do
The VW B-BBEE Trust provides developmental funding, through loans and/ or equity, to black-owned suppliers within the automotive value chain. In addition, we deploy capital to initiatives aimed at empowering micro-enterprises in the communities surrounding Uitenhage. To further this objective, the Trust developed the Uitenhage Township Economy Development Strategy, which identified 12 targeted projects designed to stimulate micro-enterprise growth in the Kwa-Nobuhle, Langa, and Rosedale communities.
